I am so impressed with how asking for volunteer sewers at a church meeting and then sewing three times a week in a church's room has grown to a multi-million dollar organization that supports women and their families as they provide employment and social supports like childcare and PRe-K through higher education support for employees and their families.
I am most looking forward to learning about the many causal factors of homelessness and looking for ways to make a difference. I am not very familiar with this topic other than knowing that it is a growing issue in the US and in my community. Where there are problems, there are solutions, we just need to find them.
